This mid 2000 build had been very well used, and had undergone some very creative DIY projects, many of which were unfinished.
Our goal with this renovation was to update, unify and create an open, airy floor plan.

Remember back in 1984 when we LOVED Honey Oak? Anyone?
The main goal here was to soften the wood tones, and give this home much needed storage. I can’t say this often, but we built a wall where previously there was an opening to the living area below in order to give this kitchen much needed storage space. We added a kitchen island and reconfigured the laundry area.
